What is The Mighty Oaks Initiative?

A not-for-profit undertaking, the Mighty Oaks Initiative, launched at the beginning of 2025 and supported by Iceni International, aims to play a part in securing the future environment by planting future oak forests at strategic locations around central Europe, thereby helping to secure the future of an essential and dwindling environmental resource

 

Why is the Mighty Oaks Initiative Important?

There is no getting away from the fact that our planet is suffering an environmental crisis, and that significant efforts are essential in order to reverse the rapid environmental decline which we are witnessing all around us. The time for burying ones corporate head in the sand is over, and while at one time it was accepted that governments were best placed to address the problem, it is now up to us all, on both a corporate and individual level, to act. Only by playing our part as responsible businesses can we hope to leave the planet in a condition whereby our children, grandchildren and all future generations will have a planet able to support them. We owe our descendants no less than such a legacy.

​​At Iceni, we have always taken a long term view in regard to our client relationships and product viability. And at this time, more than ever before, taking a long term view to environmental sustainability is vital. With this in mind, Iceni International will sponsor the planting of one oak sapling for each new member of one of our employee benefit plans, across our product range. And when two or more employee benefit plans are purchased, Iceni will sponsor the planting of two oak saplings per new member. This is Bronze Plan membership. It costs your company nothing, and will be sponsored entirely by Iceni International as a joint contribution to achieving a sustainable future for us all.

And for those companies who wish to join us in actively contributing to the future sustainability of our collective environment, Iceni corporate clients may elect to sponsor the planting of up to five oak saplings per employee per year under our Silver Plan, with the first saplings being planted during the Autumn of 2025.

Corporate membership of our Silver Plan initiative is available for the following:

Silver 1 - £17.50 per annum per employee (£17.50 per tree)

Silver 2 - £34.00 per annum per employee (£17.00 per tree)

Silver 3 - £43.50 per annum per employee (£15.50 per tree)

Silver 4 - £52.00 per annum per employee (£13.00 per tree)

Silver 5 - £57.50 per annum per employee (£11.50 per tree)

And for those companies who wish to provide a still greater level of contribution, Platinum Plan is available for those companies who would wish to contribute ten trees per employee at a flat rate of £100.00 per annum per employee.
