What is Personal Accident Cover?
It is an inescapable fact of life that no matter how carefully we live our lives, accidents can, and do all too frequently happen. Our Personal Accident cover can help provide your employees with essential financial support if they are permanently injured as the result of an accident.
Why is Personal Accident Insurance so Important?
With four levels of cover to choose from, Advantage Injury Protect provides cover for a wide range of injuries including loss of limbs or loss of use of arms or legs, plus permanent loss of sight or hearing.
While Advantage Injury Protect is available as a stand-alone cover, it may also be provided in-conjunction with our Advantage Traveller travel insurance policy in order to provide comprehensive worldwide travel and injury protection.
Advantage Accident Protect can be administered through the Advantage Vault portal, allowing for significant savings in both cost and administration when compared to running the sign-up process by way of flex platform or via internal administration, and qualify for a multi-product discount when offered alongside additional Advantage benefit products and services.
Four levels of cover are available with benefits ranging from between £10,000 to £75,000. The amount the member will receive will depend on the type of injury received. Please refer to the benefit structure for full details.
Claim benefits will be paid as a lump sum payment. If multiple injuries are sustained during the same accident, the benefit for each loss will apply.
Members will receive their benefit as a tax-free lump sum, and no medical is required prior to joining the plan. Your employees may choose to include their partner as long as they are as they’re aged 71 years old inclusive, and they may choose to cover their dependant children up to the age of 26 years old.
This policy doesn’t require a medical, so pre-existing health conditions and life-style choices won't affect the premium that you pay.
Members are covered worldwide, meaning that your employees and their insured dependents are covered for accidental injury anywhere in the world, as long as their main residence is in the UK.
